Knife Bins
Reasons people use knife bins may include:
- Remove “spare” or unused kitchen knives rather than weapons actively carried for criminal intent.
- Wanting to remove a weapon from their home
- Parental concern about a young person carrying a knife
- Gang exit or lifestyle change
- Fear of legal consequences if stopped by police
By removing knives from circulation, bins reduce the number of weapons that could potentially be used in violent incidents.
The Joe Dix Foundation knife bin operates independently and has no affiliation with Norfolk Constabulary
