Life skills
The Joe Dix Foundation has provided our academy U9 & U10’s with essential life skills to keep themselves safe.’
:Lets talk about this.
Motivation
Captivating
I felt the talk was very heartfelt and relatable to the clients we work with which meant the team was very captivated and engaged too. I felt that the delivery of the talk was very good. I think it’s incredible they have created the Joe Fix Foundation to try and raise more awareness to help others. They are inspirational.
Informative
The information was hard to hear, but it was so informative. Thoroughly helpful.
Returning to school
Local parent contacted helpline, was worried about her son, wondered if we would talk to him. Phil met with parent, spoke to her and her son separately. Son handed over a knife for disposal. Both mum and son messaged later to say thank you our time. The son said he was going to go back to school on Monday.
More than the usual training
This felt like more than the usual stock indicators found on line or in other teaching, it was real life.
Catastrophic bleed training
We have never had first aid training that included how to deal with catastrophic bleeding. It has been insightful.
Learning in a way not previously experienced.
Thank you all so very much
Thank you for coming to my school today and giving us the time to hear joes sad story . I’m really sorry for your family’s loss . I found your assembly so hard to listen to because it is happening in the real world, but it was educational, and I know by you guys sharing what’s happened will prevent many other people suffering . Thank you all so very much for coming
Ask the right questions
I can now see that exploited child or their parent may present to the GP and we have an opportunity to ask questions that may indicate exploitation.’
Sad
Unaware
I wasn’t aware that all this was going on in Norwich
Amazing
Emma and Lorraine came into my school today, tell them that the assembly was amazing.
Created a platform for conversation
The training has provided a platform to have conversations with others about child criminal exploitation, providing a good talking point with young people, staff and peers alike.
Insightful
We have never had first aid training that included how to deal with catastrophic bleeding. It has been insightful.
Personal and relatable
Engaging
I enjoyed the talk; it was inspiring how strong Emma was. The talk taught me that it is still very much an ever-growing issue, and that everybody needs to be aware of such things taking place as the criminals are targeting everyone now and not just vulnerable children. The talk was the right length, interesting information, and the right facts to keep engaged.
Amazing detailed website
Thank you for spreading awareness, it is so important. I have learnt a lot from reading your website and I have recommend it to anyone I speak to about gangs, drugs and violence. Keep up the excellent work, you are absolutely making a difference. Thank you
